A teenager accused of firing multiple gunshots at a school classroom in Perth’s northern suburbs has been hit with more charges.

The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was originally facing one charge of with intent to harm, unlawfully did an act as a result of which the life, health or safety of a person was or was likely to be endangered.

That was increased to three counts on Wednesday when the boy appeared in the Perth Children’s Court over the May 24 incident.

The boy allegedly took two rifles to the Atlantis Beach Baptist College in Two Rocks, about 70km north of Perth, and shot three rounds from inside a parked car.

Two bullets allegedly penetrated a demountable classroom building with staff and students inside.

The incident forced the school into lockdown as students and teachers hid in a storeroom.

On the day of the shooting, it’s alleged the teen asked two friends which classes they would be in and told another he was going to “shoot up the school”.

He also allegedly said he was going to kill people and then himself during a triple-zero call after the incident.

The boy will return to court on September 8.
