Northern Territory police say they won’t stop searching for a woman missing in the central Australian outback until she is found.

Angie Fuller, 30, was last seen alive on January 9 on the Tanami Road, north of Alice Springs.

An air and ground search for Ms Fuller has been scaled up this week, with police previously saying there was groundwater in the area and they believe she is alive.

“Police will continue to search until Angie is found,” Superintendent Rob Engels said on Tuesday.

Ms Fuller was last seen 15 kilometres west of the Stuart Highway on the Tanami Road.

A man claiming to be her boyfriend has said in a rambling video posted online that the pair were run off the road then shot at by a gang before fleeing into the bush.

Supt Engels said the circumstances of Ms Fuller’s disappearance were being investigated and confirmed her boyfriend, who was the last person to see her, was helping with inquiries.

“We believe she and her boyfriend had run off into the bush where she was last seen,” he previously said.

Motorists who travelled on the Tanami Road on January 9 between 10pm and 9am the following day should contact police.
