A woman who burnt to death in a fiery high-speed car crash in Sydney’s CBD still hasn’t been identified four days after the crash.

The unknown woman died alongside brothers Steve and Jeff Nasr after the sports car they were in flipped and burst into flames early on Saturday morning.

Investigators will be using DNA or dental records to formally identify the woman’s badly burned body and this takes time, a NSW police spokeswoman told AAP on Tuesday.

The fourth person in the car, Joseph Bagala, remains in a stable condition in hospital after being pulled from the passenger seat of the burning wreck by police.

The 39-year-old from Leichhardt was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital with extensive injuries to his head and face, and several broken ribs.

He is the only survivor of the accident.

Superintendent Paul Pisanos said the woman and the Nasr brothers, who were aged 31 and 39, “effectively have been burnt alive.”

It’s believed the high-performance Nissan GTR sports car travelled down Goulburn Street at speed before the driver lost control and hit an overpass barrier at the corner of Pier and Harbour streets.

The car then appears to have rotated mid-air, before it landed on its roof outside the Novotel Rockford hotel and ignited just before 3am on Saturday.
