More than one in five votes have already been cast ahead of the Northern Territory election, which pundits are reluctant to call with one week to go.

GOOD TO KNOW

* 141,225 Territorians are registered to vote

* Early voting opened on August 10

* 22 per cent of votes have been cast, with a week to go

* A June poll of Darwin residents showed Labor on 34 per cent of the primary vote, followed by CLP with 29 per cent and the Alliance on 11 per cent

* Analysts say the result may be much closer with swings of three per cent in some seats forcing Labor to form a minority government.
