Kids, lovers’ tiffs causing driver stress

New research has revealed most Australian drivers reckon they’re great behind the wheel and are quick to point the finger at other drivers’ annoying habits.

Most Australians rate themselves as great drivers and say they lose their cool on the road because of the bad habits of other road users.

DRIVERS’ TOP FRUSTRATIONS:

* Tailgating (78 per cent)

* Changing lanes without indicating (77 per cent)

* Not indicating properly (73 per cent)

* Leaving high-beams on (64 per cent)

* Selfish parking (61 per cent).

STRESSFUL PASSENGERS;

* Screaming kids (36 per cent)

* Arguments with partners (36 per cent)

* Backseat drivers (34 per cent) 

SUPERIORTY COMPLEX:

* Nearly all drivers consider themselves a safe driver (97 per cent)

* The majority rate themselves as great drivers (69 per cent)
