Man charged with murder in Darwin
NT police have charged a man with murder after his alleged victim died from his injuries in a Darwin hospital.

A man has been charged with murder after the father-of-two he allegedly assaulted with a blunt weapon died in a Darwin hospital.
The 54-year-old victim was found seriously injured at Tomaris Court flats in Darwin’s central business district on April 8, according to Northern Territory police.
He died from his injuries in Royal Darwin Hospital on Wednesday.
A 51-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and detectives have since charged him with murder.
“This was a horrendous act of domestic violence and sadly the victim has lost their life as a result,” Detective acting Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said on Friday.
The man is scheduled to appear in NT Local Court in Darwin on Tuesday.
Det Snr Sgt Budge previously said the dead man’s flatmates were persons of interest.
They allegedly reported the incident to a worker at a nearby service station soon after it happened. The worker then alerted police.
