The Queensland man who killed pregnant teen prostitute Tiffany Taylor previously spent 15 years in jail for murder and will now likely die in prison.

Pregnant teenager Tiffany Taylor never had a chance.

She was living with a man almost three times her age and working as a prostitute when she agreed to meet a convicted murderer for sex.

The 16-year-old was never seen again.

Tiffany met her killer, Rodney Wayne Williams, on the Oasis dating website in July 2015.

Desperate for cash to pay the rent at the Logan motel where she lived with her 45-year-old boyfriend Gregory Hill, the teen agreed to meet the 65-year-old father-of-three.

Williams had advertised for submissive women, saying he had a magic tongue and an impressive knowledge of the female body.

Tiffany could never have known he had stabbed an elderly neighbour to death in 1978 and been imprisoned for 15 years for murder as she climbed into his car.

Or that Williams had indecently assaulted a 14-year-old girl, facts also kept from the Brisbane Supreme Court jury during his trial before it found him guilty of Tiffany’s murder.

CCTV footage shows Williams’ car on the Ipswich Motorway with a female passenger on July 12, the day Tiffany disappeared.

His Hyundai sedan then exited into the remote Larapinta industrial park, where it stopped for about 20 minutes and “something happens”.

Williams then drove to the Esk-Fernvale region, about 100km northwest of Logan, where police have searched dams and bushland for Tiffany’s body, without success.

Splatters of her blood were found inside Williams’ car, which he blamed that on a nose bleed the teen had before he dropped her at a truck stop west of Ipswich.

“Sometime in the afternoon, by some means, you killed a tiny, and the evidence indicates she was pregnant, 16-year-old girl,” Justice Anne Lyons said during her sentencing remarks.

“She was clearly defenceless. She was 151cm tall … You concealed the circumstances of her killing and you have disposed of her body.”

“Only you will know what transpired … You then showed her no respect in her death … You simply discarded her.”

Later, Williams set about laying a false trail of communication with Tiffany on the Oasis website.

One message read: “Sorry I didn’t turn up, decided I wasn’t going to pay for it.”

He also tried to flee to Darwin after officers searched his car and called him for another interview.

But detectives were watching and he was arrested at Roma Street Station in Brisbane.

His three-and-a-half week trial heard Tiffany was “no shrinking violet” when it came to demanding payment from clients.

The teen left home aged 12 after meeting her boyfriend Mr Hill and developing a drug habit.

Her family tried to protect Tiffany, but she was headstrong and fell in love with Mr Hill.

In the months before she was killed, Tiffany regularly met men for paid sex via the Oasis website, but Mr Hill denied knowing she was a sex worker.

He also denied being her pimp. However, he was found with more than 300 messages about meeting men and money on his phone.

Prior to disappearing, Tiffany was charged with attempted extortion after she blackmailed another man she met for sex with threats she would tell police he had raped her if he did not pay $3000.

Only Williams knows what happened to Tiffany, but Justice Lyons said he did not have the $500 he agreed to pay the teen before he committed his “dreadful crime”.

She sentenced him on Friday to life in prison with a non-parole period of 30 years.

“Your conduct has breached our society’s basic code of values enshrined in our criminal law,” she said

“You will forever be serving that sentence.”
