A woman has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a Queensland mother, whose charred body was found on the side of a dirt road in northern NSW two years ago.

Rachel Angala Wheatley, 30, was previously charged with the murder of Sabrina Bremer, 34, whose badly burnt remains were found by a passing motorist at Pollards Road, North Tumbulgum, on August 18, 2016.

The motorist initially thought her body was a burning log.

Wheatley was convicted on Wednesday of the lesser charge of manslaughter and interfering with the Logan mother’s corpse.

No details about the killing on August 16 were heard in the Brisbane Supreme Court or why the charge was downgraded.

A second person also initially charged with Ms Bremer’s murder, Joshua Mundy, 31, pleaded guilty to interfering with her corpse and being an accessory after Wheatley killed her.

A third person, Jade Rodney Nielsen, 42, who was initially charged with being an accessory after the fact in the murder, was not in court and remains on bail.

Prosecutor Jodie Wooldridge said Nielsen, from Wynnum, would be charged with attempting to pervert justice.

His lawyer Angus Edwards told the court Nielsen intends to plead guilty and would attend the same court on November 18 to be indicted and sentenced.

Wheatley, of Woodridge, and Mundy, of Kingston, will remain in custody to be sentenced on November 18.
